Happy World Osteoporosis Day
Observed as the World Osteoporosis Day in which fall today tuesday 20th October 2009. The purpose is to create awareness and tackling this rising factors that lead to osteoporosis. Most of them being elderly and women.

What’s is that?
It’s a condition that affects our bones making them thin and weak. “Osteoporosis is a disease of bone that leads to an increased risk of fracture.” according to wikipedia. It’s a natural process, When people get older, we lose certain portion of bone. In which to cause the bones to become thinner. The bones become somehow fragile and more likely to break.

Doctors point out to us that bones are repaired & then reinforced by a range of proteins and minerals. In which are absorbed from the bloodstream. They will include calcium, phosphorus, proteins & amino acids .
Secondly the growth of sex hormones which controls how much the amount of mineral substance being deposited in our bones. So whenever there is a changes in our hormone level, it can affect the strength of our bones automatically.

Careful Google AdWords is Banning Advertisers
Currently, there are many angry advertisers since banning began over the weekend. Many Google Adwords advertisers are getting automated emails from Google which looks like this:
“Your Google AdWords account has been suspended due to multiple submissions of poor quality landing pages. We are unable to revoke your account suspension, and we will not accept advertisements from you in the future.”
Some with warnings that they have submitted too many “poor quality landing pages” but others just simply has been permanently banned from using Google AdWords with no warning at all.
Is this some kind of mistake or bug or virus going around Google? So far, Google AdWords representative didn’t had a chance to clarify in on what is happening here.
Also the new AdWords interface does not work with Opera instead recommended in using Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 8, or Chrome to manage your AdWords campaigns.
Google Are Predicting You!
“For each trends sequence of interest, we take a point in time, t, which is about a year back, compute a one year forecasting for t based on historical data available at time t, and compare it to the actual trends sequence that occurs since time t. The error between the forecasting trends and the actual trends characterizes the predictability level of a sequence, and when the error is smaller than a pre-defined threshold, we denote the trends query as predictable”

What does it matter to us? Search trends can be useful for advertisers, marketers, economists and scholars. Giving us new perspective into world and what we searches on a daily basis.
“We were therefore interested in the following questions:
How many search queries have trends that are predictable?
Are some categories more predictable than others? How is the distribution of predictable trends between the various categories?
How predictable are the trends of aggregated search queries for different categories? Which categories are more predictable and which are less so?
To learn about the predictability of search trends, and so as to overcome our basic limitation of not knowing what the future will entail, we characterize the predictability of a Trends series based on its historical performance. In other words, we estimate the a posteriori predictability of a sequence determined by the error of forecasted trends vs the actual performance.”
